September Painting showcase

Ok its a bit late but here it is at last…. Welcome to another monthly round up of all the hobby goodness that has been created by all the Spartans and once again we have another month of excellent looking entries. so without further ado, lets get cracking and this month we are going on reverse alphabetical order and remember you can always click on the pictures for a closer look.

first up we have Will with some super cool looking gangers for his new Necromunda gang. Great use of the colour pallet to max contrast and interest with some lovely flesh tones and blending. Lovely as always buddy!

Next we have Samuel who has started a lovely looking warcry warband with great use of metallic blue armour panels to create a really cool looking effect against the well painted muted flesh and robes. Samuel keeps knocking it out the park with each new project he starts! great stuff dude!

Next we have Rob who has been very busy with a new Gobbo army which look fantastic especially the loads of squigs… everyone loves squigs! nice titans as well for his legio to be finally completed. great effort once again bud.

Next we have Neil with some moody looking models, which just ooze character in these dark photos. superb use of a rusty red against the metalics and cream carapace makes for a unique and dirtier looking ‘Cron army! love it!

Next is Matt with some more of his Bushido models in a very accomplished paint job once again but would you expect anything different from the Hobbit? nice and crisp paint with vibrant colour schemes, these are just really pleasing on the eye!

Next we have Mark with a lovely looking Lion, the Primarch of the glorious first (and best) legion great work on the cape and gold detailing and very suited to the lord of Caliban. Nice black armour as well, which can be difficult to get right. nice work bud!

Up next we have Marcos who has ended a bit of a painting drought with a splurge of fine looking productivity. Love the gaunt and purple and white scheme as it works so well together and his sigmarines look great in the dark armour… these look very nice indeed great to see a wide variety of well painted minis.

Next we have Kieran who has continued his love of painting females with some sisters of battle in a cool looking white with blue scheme which is a very nice variation of the usual darker schemes. very nicely done bud!

Up next we have Joao with 2 very sexy looking models with a space marine librarian and chaplain. love the shadows and depth to the colours with max brightness for a real contrast and bit of a old school paint job vibe which is really cool. absolutely love these bud!!!

Next we have Jim who says he’s finally painted something… well they look great and we cant wait for him to start painting some more bits and pieces. nice work on the gold and the blue contrast colours are nice and bright. love the bases as well and faces look tight! great work indeed!

Next we have Graham who has been working on some grizzly looking ogres and has painted them with a great choice of colour pallet with the really well painted orangey skin tones a perfect contrast to the blue shoulder pad and the red trim really ties the 2 contrasting colours together. nice work!!!

next we have Edd, who once again has blown us away with the fantastic looking marines that also have a really old school vibe to the paint job with the hand painted blood drops and banner, the face is sublime and i just love the different use of shoulder pads and a beaky head! lovely once again bud!

Up next we have Dunk who has been painting up some ogres for his 8th ed fantasy army. great skin tones and work on the word cannon thingy! the flaming breath has a really well blended fire effect but what would you expect from one of our more prolific painters! great work bud.

Next we have Dan K who has been a busy boy with more of his WW2 infantry that we know and love for the muted detail he generates across each one and the flesh and faces are getting better and better! also some more of his ‘Munda genestealer cults gang which again have great flesh tones. solid work once again and in high quantity!

Next we have Dan G who has painted some nice and neat and crisp looking minis this month. again some massive progress on his painting this month and its nice to see the development. great highlighting on the clothing on the rifleman.

Next we have Chris who is back with some more blood angels but also accompanied by some noice looking chaosy marines in the black and gold trim but my fave is the assassin in the muted grey body glove rather than the black, a nice take on the scheme and really helps to make the rest of the equipment stand out. nice work dude!

Up next we have Andrew who has graced us with a very cool looking marine dude and with a nice use of a wash to maximise the contrast on the robes to create a dirty and old leather effect. Nice little bit of OSL style lighting from the lantern as well. good choice of colour for interest. good work buddy!

and last but not least we have Alex who has painted up some cool looking ultramarines especially the big boy leviathan in a very tidy paint job. however, i love the tyranid dudes and their speckled carapaces which makes them very characterful and really freaking cool! great job bud.

so there we go for september another top notch entry and showcase for you to enjoy… we look forward to see what’s coming up in october!!!
